Where we are
We are located in the Kingsdale Park Subdivision in Aokautere, Palmerston North.
For those of you who know the area, Kingsdale Park is off the Pahiatua Track (Pahiatua Aokautere Road) and a short distance to the CBD of Palmerston North, Massey University, IPU, New Zealand Rugby Institute and many other attractions.
Local Walks
Palmerston North and the Manawatu area have many excellent walks covering the full range of ability. From gentle walks along the Manawatu river walkways, to full on hikes in the Ranges, we have you covered!
Some Must Do walks include Rangiwahia Hut Track, Te Apiti Manawatu Gorge Walk, Manawatu River Pathway and He Ara Kotahi Pathway, Sledge Track, Bledisloe Park to name a few!
We would be more than happy to discuss with you what is available locally and recommend to you based on what your abilities are.
Local Cuisine
Some of our personal favorites for dinner include our local Hilltop restaurant located at the Summerhill shopping complex, or if you want to venture into the city there is the must try Little Savanna restaurant on Princess Street or checkout the multitude of restaurants along Broadway and George Street.
The Café scene is very vibrant and in the immediate vicinity is Carolines, located along Fitzherbet East road towards Ashhurst, slightly further afield is The Herb Farm which includes a fun bush walk for the whole family. In Palmerston North itself there are the likes of The Elm Cafe on Fitzherbert Avenue or plenty of other vendors to check out in the heart of the CBD.
Family Activities
Palmerston North is absolutely packed with activities for the whole family to enjoy!
We have a fast range that includes Mountain Biking tracks, Miniature Train rides, Go-Karting, Mini Golf, Arcades, Playgrounds, Swimming pools to name a few.
Why not start your family holiday with a trip to the Palmerston North Esplanade to experience the large playground after which travel to the CBD and one of the Arcades then have lunch at one of the many Cafés before heading off for a round of Go-Karting fun and ending the night with a dinner in town and a relax at our local premium cinema, Silky Otter?
