Harakeke Retreat was born from a love of nature, and relaxation. Our name, Harakeke, is the name of the New Zealand native flax that is plentiful in our area, and on our property and helps signify our connection to the natural world and our commitment to nature.
Interaction with guests
We are a very family friendly, young family of 4 in the main house, with two grandparents living in a wing at the front of the property.
Your host family members are: Tristan, Heléne and Seb (Toddler) and Ellie (Infant) along with two friendly cats, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Mace Windu.
Our two cats will happily come and visit you in the guesthouse during your stay, if you allow them to!
We are more than happy to engage with you when you’re here however if privacy is your preference we will respect that and we are available if you need any assistance. Access is via digital lock and you will have the code sent to you on day of arrival. Please do be aware that we may be around in the grounds etc during your stay.
